The Department of Visual Arts at Greenville Technical College's Benson Campus is pleased to announce the 2016 Visual Arts Annual Student Exhibit on view October 31 - December 2. The gallery has on display all fine and applied art disciplines taught as part of the Visual Arts curriculum. This year's juror, Marty Epp-Carter, received her BFA in Painting from the Massachusetts College of Art in 1994 and her MFA in Printmaking from Clemson University in 2009. Marty teaches printmaking and drawing at the South Carolina Governor's School for the Arts and Humanities and is a founding member of Greenville's Contemporary Print Collective.
Our juror selected from almost 200 works to represent all of the Department of Visual Arts classes and also selected a "Best in Show" designation. Please join us from 7-9pm on Thursday, November 3rd, for a traditional Halloween costume gala and awards presentation that gives special recognition to the many exemplary works by our community's young artists. Works are exhibited in our 2nd floor galleries for purchase, making this a unique opportunity to view challenging, thoughtful art and to support this exceptionally talented group of students. This event is free and open to the public.
