PTA Program - Phase II

Students are selected for PTA Program Phase II admission based upon competitive weighted admission scores and the relative scores of the applicant pool each year. Students with the highest scores are accepted on a space availability basis. Admission into GTC PTA program Phase I does not guarantee admission into Phase II of the program. Weighted admission criteria can be obtained at a Career Talk session. Minimum Weighted Admission Score to be considered for admission is 158/263.

Phase II Admission Requirements

Students must complete the following to be considered for admission into Phase II:

  • Attend a Career Talk Advising Seminar as soon as possible, within 2 years and no later than March of the year you plan to apply to the program.
  • Complete all Phase I required courses with a “C” or better and an overall minimum Phase I GPA of 2.5. Students who make a “D”, “F” or a “W” in a Phase I course will be allowed one additional chance to retake that course and make a “C” or better. If students earn a “D”, “F” or a “W” in any course on the 2nd attempt, they become ineligible to continue in the Physical Therapist Assistant program.
