Academic Advising Office –250-8167
- To ask general advising questions about the courses or pre-requisites for a course
- To register for classes for a new student
- To see what courses will transfer to other colleges for a new student
- To see what course is next for a student to enroll into for a new student
- To request an Audit Sheet for Financial Aid
- To tell a student, who is listed as their Advisor
Admissions Office – 250-8109
- To complete a Program Change / Major Change/Name Change/Social Security Number Change – Student has to bring in a current picture ID
- To apply for Admissions into a curriculum course
- To submit Legal Presence in the US Documentation (RVER Flag)
- To complete a Residency Change (out of state to SC & out of county to Greenville county) – fill out Residency Petition and bring in documentation
- To check on the status of application or high school transcript or GED or College Transcript
- To turn in an application, high school transcript, GED, test scores or unofficial college transcript/official college transcript
- To reapply (fill out a new application – returning to GTC after 3 consecutive semesters)
- Apply for a F1 Visa (see International Student Admissions Officers)
- To find out what steps are required prior to registering
Bookstore – 250-8173
- To purchase books and supplies with pay methods of Check, Cash, Charge Card. Be prepared to show your ID.
- Check method purchase must have a valid driver’s license
- To purchase with Financial Aid, run voucher from Campus Cruiser or use computers in the front of the Bookstore.
- Voucher must be the same day of purchase
- Must have picture ID to complete Financial Aid purchase.

Testing Department – 250-8350
- To re-test - $10 fee
- To take the placement test (ASSET of COMPASS) for admission to Greenville Tech
- To schedule a remote COMPASS test to be taken at another college
- To take the reading and math placement test for EMT and Medical Assistant courses given trough Continuing Education Division
- To take the Bennett Mechanical test
- To take a proctored exam for another school
- To request a copy of previously taken placement test scores
- To have placement test scores sent to another college
- To get information about the placement test or the Test for Success workshop.
- Provide testing and supplies for off-campus testing for high school seniors and for the Jump Start program.
