	NEWS AND EVENTS Becky Mann, Director of Public Relations 864.250.8305 ------------------------ Get to know Greenville Tech Greenville Tech Facts ------------------------ Campus Locations March, 7, 2008 “Give Kids a Smile” Provides Dental Care for Children On Friday, February 1, over 225 children benefited from free dental care and education at “Give Kids a Smile,” hosted by Greenville Technical College’s dental department. Services rendered were valued at more than $115,000. Statewide, more than 1,209 children were seen for assorted procedures, generating donated dentistry valued at over $328,000. The short-term goal of the event is to provide immediate dental care; however, the long-range mission is to educate children and their parents about preventive care that could eliminate many dental problems. Approximately 50 local dentists, hygienists and assistants volunteered their time and expertise to ensure the effectiveness of the event.
