A Statewide Approach to Educating the Biotechnology Workforce

The South Carolina Technical College System, along with partners, will host a conference addressing the mission of biotechnology in South Carolina on Fri., June 29 at Greenville Technical College. 

The goal is to strengthen and expand awareness of biotechnology technician educational programs available within the state.  The conference, made possible with a grant by AdvanceSC, will be offered at no cost to two-year and four-year college instructors, high school instructors, and biotechnical industry professionals and will address how South Carolina is attempting to meet the challenges of biotechnology. 
  
This one-day conference will include presentations by faculty from Clemson University, the University of South Carolina, Claflin University, and the SC Technical College System as well as representatives from industry and the South Carolina Biotechnology Incubation Program.
