Greenville Tech welcomes exchange students
(GREENVILLE, SC) – Greenville Technical college has been awarded a contract through Georgetown University to host ten exchange students from the Near East and South East Asia (NESA) for the Fall Semester.
These students, arriving on campus for an orientation program on Saturday, August 18, are from countries including Yemen, Bahrain, Lebanon, Morocco, Bangladesh, India, Pakistan and Tunisia. Arrangements are being made for Upstate families who are originally from these students’ home countries to serve as hosts.
The NESA Undergraduate Program is overseen by the Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs of the United States Department of State and is administered by the Center for Intercultural Education and Development at Georgetown University. The goals of the program are to educate future leaders abroad and to promote mutual understanding.
