Greenville Tech announces arrival of second Fulbright Foreign Language Teaching Assistant

(GREENVILLE, SC) – Vivian Constanta, a native of Cyprus whose mother tongue is Greek, has been assigned to Greenville Tech, becoming the college’s second Fulbright Foreign Language Teaching Assistant.

Constanta is a teacher with five years of experience teaching English and English as a Foreign Language to students at various levels. She enjoys playing tennis and writing, especially poetry.

During the academic year at Greenville Tech, Constanta is expected to conduct a Culture and Conversation series. This will allow students to learn more about her country firsthand, as she discusses health care, technology, education, hospitality, economics, politics, and other topics.

Last year was a first for Greenville Tech when a Fulbright Foreign Language Teaching Assistant came to the college from Turkey. Sedef Algi,, an instructor of English at Middle Eastern Technical University based in Ankara, Turkey, spent nine months at Greenville Tech, connecting with over 700 students through 24 class presentations. Student evaluations were overwhelmingly positive with 97.3 percent of students rating her presentations as very good or excellent.
