Greenville Tech and Furman offer community conversation series

(GREENVILLE, SC) – Greenville Technical College and the Huff Center of Furman University’s history department will offer a series of community conversations. The four-part series will address immigration to South Carolina from the 1670s to the present.

The first session will be held on September 24, 2007 from 11 a.m. to 12:15 p.m. at the International Center of the Upstate, located on the first floor of Greenville City Hall, 206 South Main Street. The topic, “The Colonial Era: British Migration into the Lowcountry and Upstate South Carolina,” will be addressed by Dr. John Barrington of Furman.
