Stratasys donates cutting-edge equipment to Greenville Tech

GREENVILLE, SC -- Stratasys has donated Fused Deposition Modeling technology valued at $80,000 to the Machine Tool Technology program at Greenville Tech.

The company’s FDM 200mc creates real parts in durable ABSplus plastic, tough enough for conceptual  prototypes, moderate functional  tests and end-use parts. FDM 200c uses patented FDM (Fused Deposition Modeling) technology and is designed to fit in any office environment.

The addition of this equipment to the Machine Tool Technology department allows students to receive cutting edge and real world education. “Greenville Technical College is proud to have Stratasys as a Business/ Education Partner,” Charles Wilson, department head for Machine Tool Technology at Greenville Tech, said.
