Paralegal Department Head Assists Nonprofits with AbacusLaw

(GREENVILLE, SC) –Elizabeth Mann, Department Head for the Paralegal program at Greenville Tech, recently traveled to Charleston, S.C., where she volunteered to help two nonprofit organizations which have adopted AbacusLaw software.

Mann is certified to teach AbacusLaw, software used by over 100,000 small to mid-size firms for time/billing, accounting and practice management.

The organizations – The Center for Heirs Property Preservation and Crisis Ministries – needed help learning how to use the software and figuring out how to adapt it to their needs, particularly since they are not law firms.

Mann, who earned a bachelor’s degree from Winthrop University and a J.D. from University of South Carolina, practiced general defense litigation in state court, federal court, and administrative agencies for 11 years. She has been on the Greenville Tech faculty for 16 years.
