Greenville Tech holds Career Talk for people interested in health careers

Greenville Tech’s next Career Talk session will be held Tuesday, November 13 at 6 p.m. These informational sessions are required for anyone interested in enrolling in one of the college’s 23 health and nursing related program areas including Dental Hygiene, Dental Assisting, Emergency Medical Technology, Health Information Management, Mssage Therapy, Medical Laboratory Technology, Nursing, Occupational Therapy Assistant, Personal Trainer, Pharmacy Technician, Physical Therapist Assistant, Radiological Technology, Respiratory Care, and Surgical Technology.

Though many people think of nursing first when considering a future in health care, Career Talk introduces students to all the possibilities including many jobs that are behind the scenes and do not require direct patient care.

Enrollment in the health and nursing area has grown at the college. Currently, there are over 4,000 students in pre-health and health classes. Even so, there is still a shortage of qualified health professionals, so graduates find that opportunities with high pay abound once they complete their programs. Area employers respect the quality of education offered at Greenville Tech, and the college is considered by many employers to be the healthcare hiring source.
