Don’t lose the job over lunch: business etiquette matters

(GREENVILLE, SC) -- If you’ve ever been invited to lunch as part of a job interview, you know how critical business etiquette can be. What about elevator etiquette, introductions, and proper use of e-mail? Learn the ins and outs of professional etiquette from a Protocol School-certified instructor when Greenville Tech’s Sybil Davis leads “Public Relations and Business Etiquette” (HOS 131), a one-credit course, on Fridays – November 9, 16, 30 and December 7 – from 10 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.

The course provides the professional skills needed to represent an organization in a variety of activities including volunteer work, charity benefits, and media relations. Topics include the importance of projecting a favorable image, business etiquette, and table manners. The course concludes with a lunch, at which proper dining etiquette and restaurant manners are practiced.
