GM AUTOMOTIVE SERVICE EDUCATION PROGRAM
(GM-ASEP)
GM-ASEP teaches the servicing of electrical and electronic systems. ABS brakes, passive restraint systems, electronic transmissions and engine controls.
The program provides specialized training you need to work on General Motors cars and trucks at authorized service centers, dealerships and fleets.
As a student, you are sponsored by a GM dealership or by an independent shop that is affiliated with GM. You will spend 10 weeks of concentrated study on campus followed by five weeks of cooperative education at the sponsoring shop. While you learn, you will also earn, since your sponsor will pay you as you receive one semester hour of credit for co-op training.
We do the ground work, locating interested dealers and independent shops and making sure that our contacts understand how the program works. You, go for a personal interview. Our advisors are here to point you in the right direction and to help you find a sponsor.
