Career Focus
Begin a career that will mean a lot for your future and even more to the future of the children in your care. Greenville Tech’s Early Care and Education program teaches unique skills to keep children safe, happy and excited about learning. You will learn to help children explore their interests, develop their talents and independence, build self-esteem, and interact with others. Lab hours will be completed in Greenville Tech’s nationally accredited Child Development Center, offering a first-hand learning environment that provides students with real world experience.

Department Mission
Our program is here to:
- Educate students in ways to meet the needs of all children, regardless of background or ability
- Provide knowledge and experiences in appropriate Early Childhood practice
- Provide opportunities for students to plan, implement and evaluate appropriate learning and developmental activities for children
- Provide opportunities for students to assess children’s skills and development
- Develop the student as a professional early educator, including opportunities for advocacy and direct study of the NAEYC Code of Ethical Conduct
- Enhance the quality of the child care experience for children in Greenville County by providing them with trained, knowledgeable, competent teachers
