INTERNATIONAL EDUCATION PROGRAM
In keeping with Greenville Technical College's mission, the International Education Program meets the lifelong learning needs of an increasingly internationalized community. Most students will participate in personal or professional global interactions in which they will be expected to work with people having diverse beliefs, to appreciate these differences and to use this knowledge to empower themselves and their colleagues.
International Education offers a variety of opportunities for the entire college community to encourage an understanding of global and cultural issues. Presentations, workshops, and special events are regularly offered on campus. In addition, specific new course are developed and others are modified to expand the emphasis on global issues. Faculty and students occasionally travel to workshops and conferences to further their understanding of particular issues and to participate in opportunities, such as the Model U.N.
Study Abroad opportunities are offered to students. These are curriculum based programs with Greenville Technical College faculty leading and instructing each program.
The International Education staff also seeks opportunities for students, faculty, and staff to participate in exchange programs. Additionally, the staff assists international students with their needs on campus and with their adjustment to the Greenville area.
