Mexico in May: IDS 206 X02
Credit hours: 1 credit course
Location: Cuernavaca, Mexico - one and one-half hours south of Mexico City
Participants: Students from all health sciences curriculum or those that might be interested in learning some healthcare practices and general culture of Mexico are all welcome to come.

Course Description:
This course will offer students the opportunity to learn some healthcare practices and experience the culture of Mexico. Participants will learn to speak Spanish each morning, visit some healthcare sites in the midmorning, and enjoy Mexican culture in the afternoons. Participants will also learn some traditional healthcare practices during the program. Sightseeing trips will be taken to Pyramids, Grutas de Cacahuamilpa (caves), Cuernavaca cultural excursions, Tepoztlan, and Taxo City for the silver trade.
Spanish proficiency is not required. The Spanish lessons will begin with an assessment of experience with the language and progress for each participant according to level of proficiency.
Cost: The expected cost will be $1250.00-$1300.00 for airfare, class, room and some meals.
