Why should you consider Greenville Tech for the first half of a four-year degree? By completing the first two years of your bachelor’s degree at Greenville Tech, you’ll learn from highly-qualified instructors in small class settings.  Our instructors work with students in class and outside the classroom to ensure mastery of skills.  Research shows that University Transferstudents who begin at two-year colleges perform as well or better than students who begin as freshmen at four year colleges, and because tuition is so reasonable at two-year colleges, they save a considerable amount of money.

Greenville Tech courses have been accepted by more than 100 colleges and universities across the nation, so transferability is rarely a problem. Our advisors help you select the right courses, giving you a road map to reach the four-year degree and the college of your plans.  We have joint admission agreements in place for many majors with Lander University and North Greenville University. Bridge programs are in place with University of South Carolina, USC Upstate and College of Charleston. And we’ve established agreements with the state’s HBCUs including Allen University, Benedict College, Claflin University, Morris College, South Carolina State University, and Voorhees College. These partnerships mean that the credits you earn here are guaranteed to transfer there and apply to your bachelor’s degree program.

University TransferTo complete either an Associate in Arts or an
Associate in Science
degree, students must fulfill the college’s general education requirements with courses in mathematics, English, social sciences, natural sciences and the humanities.

The 60 semester hours of coursework leading to each of these associate degrees are designed to parallel the freshman and sophomore years of study at many four-year colleges and universities. Students planning to transfer for a four-year degree should confer with advisors to plan their schedules in conferences.  Individual factors to be considered are scholastic aptitude, career goals and the student’s specific transfer plans.  Students are responsible for the choices of classes taken.  It is the responsibility of each student to make sure that the classes he/she takes are acceptable to the four-year college of his/her choice.
