ADMISSIONS AND REGISTRATION
College in High School (Jump Start) Enrollment Steps
- Student will complete the student section of the Enrollment Form. Student must have a parent or guardian sign and date the form.
- Student will take Enrollment Form to the High School Guidance Counselor to complete the For High School Counselors Use Only Section.
- High School Counselor will verify that student meets the high school and college minimum requirements for participation:
University Transfer Classes
- 480 critical reading SAT score, or 19 ACT Verbal score
- 480-520 math SAT score, or ACT Math 19 (example, MAT 120-Probability and Statistics requires 480 SAT; MAT 140-Calculus requires 520 SAT)
- If the ACT or SAT scores do not meet the minimum requirements, the student will take the Greenville Tech placement test (ASSET or COMPASS).
- ENG 101-English Composition I – must have completed at least three years of high school English
- University Transfer lab science courses - student must have successfully completed one year of the equivalent high school lab science course (i.e., high school biology for BIO 101)
Technical Courses
- Acceptable score on the Greenville Tech placement test (ASSET or COMPASS) for certain courses.
A Student enrolling in classes at a Greenville County Schools career center will submit paperwork at the center. This eliminates the need for steps four through six below.
4 . Student may submit the completed Enrollment Form to Greenville Tech Admissions Office located at the Admissions and Registration Center in McAlister Square . The Enrollment Form may also be submitted to the Admissions Office at the Brashier, Greer or Northwest campuses. A student enrolling in classes at a Greenville County Schools career center will submit paperwork at the center.
5. The student will meet with an advisor in the Academic Advising Center located at the Admissions and Registration Center in McAlister Square . Students can also meet with an advisor at the Brashier, Greer, or Northwest Campuses.
6. Pay applicable tuition and fees.
