What is CampusCruiser?
CampusCruiser is your student portal to the electronic world of Greenville Technical College. Each student will be issued a CampusCruiser email address after applying to the college.
CampusCruiser will allow you to conveniently register, add and drop classes online.
-
You can communicate with instructors, access campus information and class assignments, check message boards and much more!
Anyone can access public information relative to college news on the Public area of CampusCruiser.
- The Public area and Campus News report up-to-the-minute information relative to deadlines, class cancellations and other timely announcements.
Please Note: Students can add and drop classes through the Web Advisor tab of CampusCruiser.
- However, you cannot perform a withdrawal transaction on CampusCruiser. To withdraw, you must process the appropriate paperwork at the office of Student Records, or at the Student Services Desk of any branch campus. Students who are unable to process withdrawal paperwork in person may fax written withdrawal requests to (864) 250-8535 or seek the assistance of your academic advisor or counselor. Withdrawal deadlines are strictly enforced.
Logging into CampusCruiser
To log into CampusCruiser, you’ll first need to determine your user ID.
If you can’t remember it, please use the following steps. To determine your user ID, on the main homepage for CampusCruiser, you’ll see four tabs across the top of the screen (Campus, Academics, Student Services and Campus Life). On the left side of the screen, you’ll see two bars (Welcome and Terms and Conditions.) Click the heading “Welcome” to see the expanded menu. Click the listing shown as
“What’s my Log In ID?”
You’ll be prompted to enter your last name and your entire social security number (minus the hyphens.) Once you’ve successfully entered that information, click “submit” and your user ID will be shown on the screen.
Once you’ve found your user ID, your temporary password will be the last six (6) digits of your social security number. Click the Log In button. The ID and Password fields will appear.
Enter your user ID and temporary password and press the green LOG IN button. The CampusCruiser Terms of Usage screen is displayed. Please read and then click “Accept” to continue (first login only).
You will be prompted to change your temporary password.
As you’re in the process of changing your password, enter your temporary password in the “Current Password” field and then enter a password of your own choice in the next two fields. This is to verify that you’ve typed the password correctly.
IMPORTANT:
You will then see the Edit Personal Profile screen. PLEASE fill out all the fields on this screen. Please enter your newly changed password in the first field.
Choose a question and answer hint; the system uses this as a verification that you’re really who you say you are. It needs to be something ONLY you will know. (Hint: MANY people know your mother’s maiden name or the name of your elementary school. If you don’t want anyone in your account, please make it known only to yourself.)
If you forget your password but can answer the question correctly, the system will email a new temporary password to the address specified as the secondary email. Your Hotmail, Yahoo, AOL, etc. email accounts are all acceptable. By supplying all the information on this page, the system will actually be able to help you log into the system in case you forget your password.
