Greenville Technical College’s Corporate & Career Development Division will host a Quick Jobs with a Future Open House on Tuesday, August 11 at 9:00 a.m. with a second session focused on a new Manufacturing Production Technician training program at 1:00 p.m. The Quick Jobs program allows working adults, or those in occupational transition, to quickly obtain skills matching the needs of local business and industry.
The Quick Jobs Open House provides information about these short-term career training programs and financial assistance options. Career transition information is thoroughly covered, program experts give brief reviews and a tour of the training facility is given. Many certifications may be earned in 90 days or less through Quick Jobs.
Programs are available in the following industries:
- Health Care
- Construction/Skilled Trades
- Creative Careers
The Manufacturing Production Technician (MPT) program, consisting of three entry-level, nationally-recognized advanced manufacturing certifications, provides participants the opportunity to get a quick start in a career in advanced manufacturing. The MPT training program can be completed in as little as three weeks and at no cost to qualified participants through scholarship support from Career Skills Now. In addition, Career Skills Now assists with local job placement, prerequisite testing sponsorship and even continued manufacturing training for more advanced skills. At the information session, students can begin the application process, learn more about WorkKeys testing and talk to program coordinators.
