Thousands of vehicles suffer collision damage every day in the US.  The need for well trained technicians to repair these vehicles is higher today than ever before. A rewarding career awaits, if you have what it takes to be a collision repair technician. If you are someone who enjoys working with your hands, has a mechanical aptitude, takes pride in your work and is passionate about cars, then you might consider a career in collision repair. Technicians today require a high skill level and are rewarded accordingly for their work.

Auto body work performed by a specialistIn today’s market, an education isn’t a luxury – it’s a necessity. The new metals and car designs require technicians to learn more detailed processes to return vehicles to pre-accident condition. Modern collision repair centers are required to have “certified” welders for correct structural repairs. Properly made repairs decrease a shop’s liability. Greenville Tech's Auto Body program is the right first step to put you on the road to a successful collision repair career.

Greenville Tech offers several options in the auto body repair field. We offer an auto body repair diploma, certificate, and an associate's degree path that give you a thorough knowledge of Unibody, Structural repair, Sheet metal repair, Welding, Painting, Estimating, and Refinishing. We use the internationally recognized I-CAR curriculumn to ensure that as a student you learn the most up to date processes available. Our program is an Industry Training Alliance with I-CAR.  This means that as a students you prepare for career paths with manufacturers like Audi, Chrysler, Ford, GM, Infiniti, Jaguar, Lexus, Nissan, Porsche, Toyota, Volvo, and VW.

  • ASE Automotive Service Excellence Technician (subject to passing exam - Tests B2-B6)
  • I-CAR Pro Level I Technician (subject to passing exams)
  • I-CAR Qualified Welder (subject to passing exam)
  • EPA Rule 40 Painter Certification

Greenville Tech’s Auto Body Repair program can give you an excellent start as an Automotive body repair technician, estimator, refinish technician, aviation refinish technician, auto assembler, customer advisor, parts specialist, collision center manager, and shop owner.
