College that works for image makers.
If you want to make people look their best as you make an excellent living, the field of Cosmetology may be for you.
Our program is designed with sanitation, hygiene, chemistry, anatomy, physiology and management classes in order to make sure that students grasp the how and the why. Classroom study and demonstrations in cutting, styling, chemical treatments, coloring and practical work experience in our on-site clinic are included. All of our instructors have been salon owners or managers, and they recognize that managerial and people skills are also important for your long-term success.
Our Esthetics certificate program may be the start of a beautiful career. Estheticians cleanse and beautify the skin by providing facials, full-body treatments, and head and neck massages. They may also remove hair by waxing.
Demand for skin care services is strong and Greenville Tech added this program because of fast growth and the resulting demand for qualified employees. The college has an unmatched ability to meet these needs with small classes, averaging just 20 students.
Graduates of our Nail Technologycertificate program are always in demand. Today's customers demand a safe and sanitary environment. Students are trained in all aspects of nail care, from spa treatments to gels, acrylics and wraps, all with an emphasis on natural nail health.
Greenville Tech's Nail Technology certificate gives students much more than technical skills. And because we open our doors to clients for extensive practice, students are well prepared for the first day of work.
Why train for your Cosmetology career at Greenville Tech? Our program does much more than teach to the test. Yes, you'll be prepared to take the exam for your state license, but we go well beyond the basics.
Employment trends in Esthetics show that the number of day spas and specialty skin care businesses has continued to grow, and skin care is now a multi-billion dollar field. Working in salons, spas, shops or in their own businesses, estheticians must be licensed in South Carolina, a requirement for which Greenville Tech students are well prepared.
Nail technicians provide manicures, pedicures, and nail extensions to clients, working at salons, spas, shops, and in their own businesses. After graduating from Greenville Tech's program, students can take the state's licensing exam, a requirement for South Carolina cosmetology licensure.
