Make transfer work for you

Advising for smooth transfer

The transfer process for this track is very specific and leaves little opportunity for error in choosing classes. It is very important to discuss curriculum and transfer requirements with your assigned academic advisor at Greenville Technical College and with a transfer advisor at the four-year institution where you intend to go. These discussions should begin as soon as the choice to major in engineering has been made.

Preparing for transfer

High school preparation for engineering should include a strong emphasis on mathematics, science and basic English skills. Students not meeting the requirements for entry into MAT 140 and ENG 101 will have preparatory work to complete and may need more than four semesters to finish the engineering transfer course sequence.
