Button 2
Complete the Free Application for Student Aid (FAFSA) form.

Federal Student Aid, an office of the U.S. Department of Education, ensures that all eligible individuals can benefit from federally funded or federally guaranteed financial assistance for education beyond high school. FAFSA is the acronym for Free Application for Federal Student Aid. This one form must be submitted by all students interested in receiving any form of financial aid to include grants, student loans, work-study and even lottery tuition assistance. Don't let the application intimidate you; this is information that you already know.

What do I do?

  • First, apply for a PIN. The PIN number is a unique four digit code linked specifically to your Social Security number and issued by the Department of Education. This number will not only serve as your electronic signature throughout your entire college career, but with this four digit PIN, you will be able to access your information online.
(If you are a dependent student, the parent signing your application will also need a PIN. )
  • Complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) using completed prior year tax information. Using estimated taxes will slow your financial aid processing down considerably.
  • List Greenville Technical College's school code - 003991 on the FAFSA so the results will be sent to our database.
