Managers are responsible for the daily operations of various businesses and industries, coordinating activities among departments, ensuring that clients are satisfied, overseeing inventory and equipment, and managing administrative and human resource functions. The management field is broad, encompassing a wide variety of opportunities.

Greenville Tech’s Management program trains students in planning, organizing, leading and controlling techniques and prepares them to fill entry-level managerial positions in industry, restaurants, retail stores and service companies.Discussion in a meeting 

Careers in Management

Skills learned in the Management program have application in many areas, such as industry, healthcare, retail, and service companies.

Flexibility in Scheduling
Students enrolled in Management courses can enjoy the flexibility of traditional, hybrid or online classes. Two classes, MGT 240 and MMT 101, are available only in traditional classroom and hybrid formats.

Program Curriculum

Associate Degree Programs
The Management program gives students the opportunity to learn about business early in the program. Classes are taught by faculty with graduate degrees in Management who also have significant experience in the real world.

Management - Associate in Applied Science 

This program is accredited by the Association of Collegiate Business Schools and Programs (ACBSP). 

Where can I transfer with an associate degree?
Transfer agreements with local universities make it possible to get an associate degree from Greenville Tech as part of work toward a bachelor's degree in Business Administration from an articulating college or university. Currently, transfer agreements are in place with the following institutions: 

In addition, a transfer agreement is in place with Franklin University where a bachelor's degree may be earned online.

Selected courses will transfer to the Furman University Undergraduate Evening Studies Bachelor of Liberal Arts degree.

Certificate Programs
For students who are not sure they want to commit to a 2-year degree, the Management department offers certificates. The Human Resource Management certificate is a specialized certificate, which will help prepare students for a career in the growing field of human resource management.

The Small Business/Entrepreneurship certificate is designed for students who want to start and/or manage a small business.
