What is it?
The P.E.T.S. Festival is an annual event held by the Animal Studies Department of Greenville Technical College meant to promote animal care and
welfare in our community. Past events have included pet-friendly vendors, grooming competitions, raffles, dog supplies, and veterinary consultations. Both friendly, leashed pets and their human guardians, along with the entire family, are welcome at the P.E.T.S Festival. The festival is also a great way to find out more about Greenville Technical College's Northwest Campus and the classes offered there.
Where is it?
The P.E.T.S. Festival is held each year at Greenville Technical Colleges Northwest Campus. The Northwest Campus is located at 8109 Whitehorse Rd., Greenville, SC 29617.
When is it?
The P.E.T.S. Festival is held on the 3rd Saturday of July. The next P.E.T.S Festival will be on July 17, 2010 from 10 a.m. - 2 p.m.
How can I participate in the P.E.T.S Festival?
The P.E.T.S Festival has many vendors that promote animal awareness. In years past, vendors such as Speak 4 Animals, Greenville Kennel Club, Wildlife Rehab of Greenville, and various area veterinarians have joined us to promote animal awareness. We also have vendors that offer animal adoptions and sell animal products or services.

What is a grooming competition?
A grooming competition is a test of skills between groomers. The groomers have a specified amount of time to groom a pet and judges determine the winner based on handling skills, grooming skills, and of course the finished pet. The competition held during the P.E.T.S Festival is for Greenville Technical College's graduating students and their pre-chosen pet.
How much does the P.E.T.S Festival cost?
The P.E.T.S. Festival is a free event (including parking). The only cost that may be incurred is if you choose to purchase items from a vendor.
How do I become a sponsor?
We rely on donations from sponsors for our raffle items, prizes for the grooming competition, and other costs that are incurred during the planning of the P.E.T.S Festival. To become a sponsor, please fill out the Sponsor Information Sheet. All donations
need to be delivered to Greenville Technical College's Northwest Campus or have a pick up time scheduled four weeks before the festival takes place. To be considered a sponsor, donations must add up to a total retail cost of $50 or more. Sponsors' logo/name will be displayed on staff t-shirts, on a slide show during the festival, and will also receive a link on the P.E.T.S Festival website. Sponsorship is a wonderful way to promote your business to the public without having to be present at the event.
How do I become a vendor?
The P.E.T.S Festival is a large event that hundreds of people attend every year. This is a great way to promote your business to the public. To become a vendor, please fill out the Vendor Information Sheet. Vendors are allowed to sell products, provide business information, and discuss animal care. Anything else needs to be preapproved by the Animal Studies Department of Greenville Technical College. Vendors will be provided 2' x 6' tables, two chairs, access to electricity, and a link on the P.E.T.S Festival website. Any other accommodations need to be prearranged by the Animal Studies Department of Greenville Technical College. There is a $25 charge for a vendor space. Space is available either outside or indoors. Nonprofit organizations do not need to pay a fee for a vendor space (proof of nonprofit status must be provided). Payment and the completed Vendor Information Sheet are due two weeks before the date of the event.
