Take a look at this commercial about how the Computer Technology program is “Driving the Careers of Tomorrow.”

Department Head  Beau Sanders | (864) 250-8314 | Beau.Sanders@gvltec.edu

Students in Greenville Tech's Computer Programming programs learn to plan, design, and develop computer systems and programs using varied programming languages and state-of-the-art equipment.

The different platforms that a degree student will use in our labs include JAVA, Visual Basic.Net, SQL Server, and Internet environments such as JavaScript, ASP, XML and JSP. The students also will learn skills to work as a system analyst in the marketplace. Because many of the "programming" jobs available require database skills, Computer Programming Technology students also learn database skills that include analysis, design, and query.

Some students may choose to complete an internship as part of their course requirements. The on-the-job internship experience gives the student a competitive edge when seeking employment.
