Participants will be admitted to the Transitions Program and be recipients of all the benefits:
- Book allowance
- Childcare allowance
- Uniform assistance
- Transportation assistance (to include GTA
tickets)
- Certification exam allowance
- Tool & equipment assistance
- Counseling
- Depending on a students performance,
additional sources for tuition may be made
available
In addition, participants will be assigned mentors and receive tutoring when necessary. The program is designed to provide the ingredients for student success.
WHAT’S REQUIRED?
- High school diploma or GED
- 2.00 GPA
- Admitted to Greenville Tech
- Pell Grant Recipient
- Must be a United States citizen (or possess a green card) and a legal resident of South Carolina
- Complete a College Skills class
- Participate in monthly “Skull” sessions
- Attend class regularly
- Incremental increases in GPA
- Must be drug free (Urine screens will be conducted)
- Be crime free (Criminal records check will be performed)
- Desire and perseverance a must!
(Associate of Arts, Associate of Science and GED students are not eligible)
