The Transitions program is funded by the Carl D. Perkins Act, commonly referred to as Perkins IV. It provides assistance to economically disadvantaged students through a grant provided at Greenville Technical College. The purpose of the grant is to assist low income students in becoming self-sufficient by obtaining an education which would allow them to enter a high demand, high paying job market. The assistance offered through the program may be either financial, non-financial, or both.
