Veterans General Information

Veterans Affairs programs and policies as well as college services and procedures change frequently. Students should maintain contact with the VA Office at Greenville Technical College.

  •  Monthly Allowance Payments
Veterans Affairs Educational Benefits are paid on a monthly basis. The first benefit payment will be received approximately six to eight weeks after the first day of class.
  • Continuous Payment
As of August 1, 2011, break or interval pay is no longer payable under any VA education benefit program.
  • Minimum Credit Load
If a student withdraws from the college, drops a course that changes the training time, or changes a major or home address, he or she should contact the VA office at Greenville Technical College about the necessary forms to complete.
  • Changes in Credit Load
Dropping the enrolled credit load below the minimums shown below may result in a retroactive reduction in benefits and a debt to the VA. Several different methods are used to collect over-payments.
