Graduates may obtain professional credentials such as certified welder (subject to passing exam) and NCCER certification.

Accreditation and connection to industry

Our welding program is accredited through the National Center for Construction & Research (NCCER). Using the Contren Learning Series, students are trained according to national welding codes including the American Welding Society of Mechanical Engineers, Section IX (ASME), and given credit through the NCCER.

Certificate in Applied Science

This program prepares welding graduates for testing and certification for local metal fabrication shops, maintenance welding, and construction pipe welding. This program is located at Greenville Technical College’s Brashier Campus.

This program trains students in the fundamentals of basic welding, pipe fitting and print reading. This program is located at Greenville Technical College’s Brashier Campus.

This program trains students in plate, mild steel pipe, and stainless steel pipe welding using the GMAW and the GTAW welding techniques. This program is located at Greenville Technical College’s Brashier Campus.
