Early College at Greenville Technical College (GTC) is designed for motivated high school juniors and seniors, who seek academic challenges and want to get a head start on advanced academic goals.

Students of partnering schools should coordinate dual enrollment through their school counselors. Qualifying home-schooled students and students from other schools are also welcome to apply.

Tuition for in-county students is locked as indicated above.
For out-of-county students, as allowed by law, Greenville Technical College will review tuition and fee rates every year and make needed adjustments. Note: This model is subject to change if there are significant changes to Lottery Tuition Assistance including the elimination of the use of LTA for high school students. We strongly encourage all students to take at least 6 credit hours.

Please be aware that the final amounts for student accounts (billing/fees) may take up to 4 weeks to be completed. Flex start courses may take longer which means your total bill may not be ready until 8 weeks after the start of the semester.
After you’ve taken Early College classes as a high school student, you may decide to continue your education with us as a college student. Continue to have smaller classes and quality instructors with one of the most affordable higher education options – plus you can transfer your credits to an accredited university if you want to pursue a bachelor’s degree.

The first step is to complete the college application, which is different from the one you completed for Early College. Find more details when you visit the steps to enrollment. Once you've been accepted, you will then need to submit a Program of Study Change Form found under Student Records on the Student Forms page. This will transition you from Early College to your new program of study.

If you have attended within the last 3 semesters, you do not need to reapply.During the enrollment process (whether done independently or with your counselor), be prepared to upload the following required documents:

Select the form that applies to you. This form is used to identify the specific courses you would like to take and it can also be used to add, drop or withdraw from courses.
Online Learning Requirement: COL 111 (E-Learning Success)
Effective fall 2018, students who are either new or returning to GTC after a three-semester break AND who plan to take any online course(s) must complete a 1-credit, online COL 111 course designed to foster success in an online learning environment. While COL 111 could be helpful to any student, it is not currently required for continuing students or students who plan to take only face-to-face or blended courses.
