Unsung Hero Employee Awards: Pam Green and Brittany Presley
Pam Green works hard to make sure everything gets done -- staying late, coming in early, taking on any task, and rising to every occasion. She is never too busy, however, to foster a positive work environment for her entire division. She treats everyone with respect and kindness, coordinates cards and gifts for colleagues whenever needed, lends a helping hand, and offers sincere words of support and encouragement.
Brittany Presley provides stellar service in her position with Student Disability Services. Whether taking a call or helping someone who walks into the office, she has an uncanny ability to calm people down in stressful situations and seems to know an answer to every question that comes her way. People come to her with problems and thanks to her calm demeanor, leave feeling encouraged and supported.
Unsung Hero Corporate Award: Fluor Corporation
Fluor Corporation has been a long-time, loyal supporter of Greenville Technical College and its students. In the last year alone, Fluor has donated $27,500 to the Greenville Tech Foundation to support Quick Jobs, Quick Jobs for veterans, and scholarships for Women in Construction Engineering Technology. In addition, Luke Hardaway, Fluor’s HR manager, serves on the Foundation Board and is a member of the Resource Development Committee. Fluor’s commitment to Greenville Technical College has made a tremendous difference this year and every year, helping GTC to fulfill its mission of changing lives through education.
