WHAT DO I DO?

You must request official copies of the documents that apply to you from the list below to be sent to Greenville Technical College. If you have unofficial copies of documents, you may want to bring them when you meet with your advisor.

Academic Transcripts

• Transcript from your high school
  
  • Use your high school’s transcript request process to send a final official transcript with graduation date to Greenville Technical College.
  • Request homeschool transcripts from the accrediting homeschool association.

  • If you have previously received an associate or bachelor's degree from a regionally accredited college/university, that transcript may replace proof of high school.
• Transcript from any previous college(s)
  
  • Use your previous college’s transcript request process to send official transcripts to Greenville Technical College.

• GED certification
  
  • Send a copy of your certificate or scores from your GED program if your mathematics section score is 165 or higher. Scores are valid for 10 years after test.

Academic Placement and Prior Learning

• Accuplacer
  • Order official scores from www.collegeboard.com to be sent to Greenville Technical College
    or
  • Take Accuplacer tests at Greenville Technical College
• SAT scores
  • Order official scores from www.collegeboard.com to be sent to Greenville Technical College
    • 480 or above on the reading section
    • 400 or above on the math section (500 and above will allow placement without a co-requisite)
  • Scores are valid for 10 years after test.
• ACT scores
  • Order official scores from www.act.org to be sent to Greenville Technical College
    • 19 or above on the English section
    • 17 or above on the math section (20 and above will allow placement without a co-requisite)
  • Scores are valid for 10 years after test.
• AP scores
  • Order official scores from www.collegeboard.com to be sent to Greenville Technical College if your scores are
    •  3 or above on a math and English subject test, see AP course equivalencies
• IB (HL level) scores
  • Order official scores from www.ibo.org to be sent to Greenville Technical College if your scores are
    • 4 or above, see IB course equivalencies
• CLEP scores
  • Order official scores from www.collegeboard.com to be sent to Greenville Technical College if your scores are
    • 50 or higher, see CLEP course equivalencies 

DON'T HAVE YOUR TRANSCRIPT IN TIME? 

You can be admitted for one semester pending proof of state high school completion/GED after you complete placement testing or provide sufficient ACT, AP, IB or SAT scores. You may be admitted to a program with an unofficial college transcript for one semester only, two (2) weeks prior to the start of the semester.
