School of Health Sciences Licensure and Certification Eligibility Policy

POLICY

Eligibility for professional licensure and certification is determined by external regulatory agencies and may vary by profession and jurisdiction. Admission to, enrollment in, or successful completion of a School of Health Sciences program does not guarantee eligibility to sit for licensure or certification examinations or obtain professional credentials.

PROCEDURE

1. Students are responsible for reviewing and confirming licensure, certification and credentialing requirements with the appropriate regulatory board or certifying organization prior to enrollment and throughout the program.
2. Eligibility requirements may include but are not limited to factors such as criminal history, prior disciplinary actions, and other standards established by licensing boards, certification agencies, or applicable regulatory authorities.
3. Students with Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) status are responsible for confirming eligibility requirements for licensure, certification, and credentialing in their intended profession prior to enrollment, as requirements vary by state, profession, and governing body.
