Loans are borrowed money that must be repaid when you graduate.
Learn more about these loan options:
To be offered student loans, you must complete Direct Loan Entrance Counseling at studentaid.gov. If you previously completed loan entrance counseling at a different institution, log into your studentaid.gov account and add Greenville Technical College to your completed loan entrance counseling record. Once your loan entrance counseling has been verified, student loans will be added to your financial aid awards (provided you meet all eligibility requirements). This process could take one to two weeks.
Greenville Technical College encourages you to complete Financial Awareness Counseling for undergraduate students. This online counseling session will assist you in making a decision on how much you need to borrow for this academic year. Log in to studentaid.gov and choose Complete Counseling on the left side toolbar and then select Financial Awareness Counseling. This counseling is not required, but we are confident that it will help you make wise financial decisions today and in the future.
Remember that no loan funds will be disbursed to your account unless you have signed a Direct Loan Master Promissory Note (MPN) at studentaid.gov.
