Commencement Ceremony Information for Faculty

Greenville Technical College advises all graduates and guests that Homeland Security Policies will be in effect at the Greenville Convention Center.

• Please be aware that there is a clear bag policy in place at the Greenville Convention Center. The following items are prohibited artificial noisemakers, backpacks, bags larger than 12” x 6” x 12”.  
• Security will also wand every graduate and guest entering the convention center.
• Graduates and Guests attempting to enter the convention center with backpacks, non-clear bags, large bags and anything else deemed inappropriate by security will be told to return the item(s) to their vehicle. These items will not be claim-checked at the Information Center.

Faculty members who have their own academic regalia are encouraged to wear it. Please press your robes.

Faculty should arrive in academic apparel:

• for 10 a.m. ceremony, arrive by 8:30 a.m.
• for 1 p.m. ceremony, arrive by 11:30 a.m.

Enter the Greenville Convention Center at any of the entrances and follow the Greenville Technical College signs for the designated processional line up areas. Marshals will direct you to the designated seating area at the ceremony start time.

Marshals will direct you out at the end of the ceremony. No regalia drop-off.
