The English Department at Greenville Technical College is a welcoming community that offers courses in composition, literature, and creative writing. Our vision is to elevate students’ ability to communicate clearly, critically, and creatively through writing. In addition, our faculty creates positive learning environments in which to evaluate and appreciate literature. For extra help, a Writing Center, with experienced tutors is available.
We offer a diverse selection of literature courses including American Literature, British Literature, World Literature, Women’s Literature, Children’s Literature, Graphic Literature, Short Fiction and Creative Writing. These courses fulfill AA, AS, and transfer requirements, and can be used as transferable electives.

ENG 101, 102, 165, 201, 202, 205, 206, 207, 208, 209, 235, 238 and 230 are offered as online courses as well as in a traditional format.
Greenville Technical College is accredited by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Colleges (SACSCOC) to award associate and baccalaureate degrees. Degree-granting institutions also may offer credentials such as certificates and diplomas at approved degree levels.
