The Greenville Drive, BMW, Michelin North America, Inc., GE Vernova, Greenville Technical College (GTC), and Greenville County Schools will host Advanced Manufacturing & Engineering (AM&E) Night at Fluor Field on Tuesday, June 25. AM&E Night is the most unique event hosted at Fluor Field each Drive season as the amazing manufacturing and engineering activity taking place in the region is showcased throughout the evening. Further, each year, AM&E Night welcomes, on a complimentary basis, thousands of K-12 students to the ballpark as the event is utilized to “ignite the passion” for AM&E with young people and their families to ensure the region’s largest and most innovative employers have the workforce they need for future growth and success.
AM&E Night this year will be jam packed with impactful and educational content relevant for all students & parents, including more than 25 highly interactive exhibits on the stadium concourse. The exhibits will be from leading AM&E companies and organizations throughout the region showcasing a wide variety manufacturing and engineering content including machine learning and technology, automation, mechatronics, 3D printing & scanning, computer manufacturing, engineering design, and more. This year’s confirmed exhibitors include:
- Returning: BMW, Michelin, Greenville Technical College, GE Vernova, Greenville County Schools, Milliken, Bosch, Bosch Rexroth, Duke Energy, Dodge Industrial
- New for 2024: Arthrex, Ryobi, and Wauseon Machine.
The Boston Red Sox will also return to AM&E Night for a second straight year with a concourse display showcasing how analytics & technology are transforming the player development process across baseball.
Students will have the opportunity to join the “Young Innovators Club” – an incentive for students to visit all the exhibits on the stadium concourse and by doing so having a chance to win great prizes and experiences.
AM&E Night will also feature a highly relevant panel discussion with industry leaders talking directly to students and parents about the best way to pursue careers in advanced manufacturing and technology. This year’s panelists include:
- Ericka Suber (HR Manager of Diversity, Equity, & Inclusion, BMW)
- Shane Long (VP Global Supply Chain, GE Vernova)
- Kelvin Byrd (Dean, School of Advanced Manufacturing & Transportation Technology, Greenville Technical College)
- Jason Loftis (Senior Site Continuous Improvement Manager, Michelin).
The panel discussion will be moderated by Alex Estevez (Venture Partner, Accel Partners).
